Boulder Boulevard Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tankengine: Hmmm - looks like this one is beyond maintenance... I was thinking that the upper boulders might be OK when the dam was full, but of course - why would the engineers put boulders which would not be used! It was very interesting while it lasted. The dam just filled faster than expected! Maybe it will become available again when the water level goes down... Then again, maybe not! Bye.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed at the start of a wonderful rocky Boulevard that runs for almost a km, and consists of over 20,000 tons of boulders! Who built this and why? Was it the Incas? I know that trail bike riders occasionally ride down this boulevard, but did they build it? Each row is over 2m heigh, and 2m wide!

I was going to call this cache Relinquished Rocks, as their fate is sealed - they will soon be underwater to serve their intended purpose! Yes - it's a boulevard for the fish! They will set up their homes here! (I wonder if the fish real-estate agent is already selling units)?

So if you want to experience this boulevard - you better head off soon!! (Well, at least in the next couple of years).
