Highway through the snow: A1 (Katschberg)
From the top of the Aineck at 2220 meters all the way down to St. Margarethen im Lungau at 1075 meters, goes the 6 kilometers long A1 skislope, described as “possibly the most beautiful “Talabfart” of the Alpes.
And indead a beautiful slope this is. You start on top of the Aineck, far above the treeline, where it can be very cold and windy. Though it can be really quiet here, there are also moments there are a lot of muggles around. So use stealth when needed…
