Der Wörthersee Rundwanderweg weist eine Gesamtstreckenlänge von etwa 55 km auf und ist durchgehend blau-weiß-blau markiert. Das Gelände ist hügelig mit einigen steilen An- und Abstiegen (Seehöhen von 440 bis 680 m, ca. +/- 1800 Höhenmeter), die Route verläuft großteils in waldreichem Gebiet, wobei sich immer wieder herrliche Ausblicke sowohl auf den Wörthersee als auch auf die Karawanken bieten. Der Weg kann beliebig begonnen und unterbrochen werden (am besten eignen sich dazu die Schiffsanlegestellen rund um den See sowie die Bahnstationen) und ist in beiden Richtungen begehbar. Eine Karte mit allen Informationen zum Rundwanderweg gibt es gratis in den örtlichen Tourismusbüros sowie in der Wörthersee Tourismus GmbH.
Start your hiking tour along the 55 km hiking trail together with this legendary figure. The hiking trail is perfectly marked with blue-white-blue stripes.
The trail runs through hilly terrain, mostly through forests, but you will always find incredible scenic view points offering a stunning view of Lake Wörthersee and the Karawanken Mountains. Many parts of the hiking trail cover nature reserves and the "Ramsar area".
You can start or stop your tour wherever you want. However, we recommend one of the landing docks along Lake Wörthersee.
A map for this particular hiking trail is available in all the tourist offices in the Lake Wörthersee region as well as in the office of the Wörthersee Tourismus GmbH. The map is free of charge.
