Geocache Description:

Bring your own pen! (BYOP). RULES: Physical caches can be logged online as "Found" once the physical log has been signed. Muggles nearby so did not sign is not an excuse, neither is no pen! LOGS WILL BE DELETED.

Set in the beautiful Forest of Marston Vale. The Vale is one of 12 Community Forests in England. Community Forests were set up around towns and cities in the early 1990s, to improve land affected by industrial use in the past. The Forest of Marston Vale covers 61 square miles of Bedfordshire between Ampthill, Milton Keynes and Bedford

Whilst most parts of the south-east England are turning from green to brown as creeping suburbia takes over, the opposite is happening here, and the reason is can be found by the slow march of vegetation across the acres once scarred by decades of clay extraction, brick making and landfill. As you walk along the path by the line side, young oaks, ash and horse-chesnut are putting down their roots through the clay and brick dust and summer flowers grow back as if they were never away and a faint smell of wild basil from the railway embankment
