Geocache Description:

Motorway Mayhem (Challenge Cache)

This cache is at the above co-ordinates, but you must read the cache page for requirements to ensure that your log for this cache is valid! The coordinates are on a footpath that passes within / under M1 Jct 12, since the remodelling of the junction.

Motorway Mayhem caches are intended to provide fairly easy drive-by caches together with useful “just-off” motorway information for travellers who are in need of a break or seek alternatives to the typical motorway service station type fare and prices. It is hoped this series and concept will grow as other cachers add further caches along the length and breadth of Britain’s Motorways.

The current UK Motorway network has 50 M-designated motorways and a further eighteen (M) designated ones, such as the A1(M).

To log this cache online you must first find a 'Motorway Mayhem' cache on 12 different British motorways. As per Groundspeak rules, you may find and sign in advance if you so wish.

Rules:
You must have found a 'Motorway Mayhem' cache on 12 or more different British motorways
For the purpose of this challenge, British means English, Scottish or Welsh
Cache titles must have 'Motorway Mayhem' in them, though this does not have to be at the beginning.
Cache titles do not have to include the motorway name
If a cache is at the junction of two motorways, it can be used for either (but not both) motorways
You must not own the qualifying caches (unless you adopted them prior to finding them)
You cannot use this cache as a qualifying find
You must find the qualifying caches BEFORE logging on line, though you may find and sign whenever you want, in line with Groundspeak rules.
Caches found before the date of publication DO count.
Caches that have been archived are still valid
All cache types count.
When logging this as a find, please include a list of your qualifying finds.

The cache is a small cylindrical container, about twice the diameter and height of a 35mm film pot. It is white, but covered with black tape and has a blue screw lid. It only contains a log - you are a geocacher, you should have a writing implement! There is a choice of routes from the recommended parking. I have shown them with trailheads and reference points in the Waypoints. There are shorter paths to the cache, but these are not public footpaths.

Congratulations to The Bongtwashes on being First To Find.
