Geocache Description:

The cache is placed near to a public footpath and a interesting area,as well as the church,so go and visit the church and explore the history of the area here.

The earliest surviving parts of St. Mary's church in Shrawardine date from the Norman period (1066-1154). However, the nave was rebuilt in 1649 and the chancel was rebuilt in 1722. St. Mary's was restored towards the end of the Victorian period (1837-1901) in 1893.
