The earliest surviving parts of St. Mary's church in Shrawardine date from the Norman period (1066-1154). However, the nave was rebuilt in 1649 and the chancel was rebuilt in 1722. St. Mary's was restored towards the end of the Victorian period (1837-1901) in 1893.
