Geocache Description:

A 5ml tube

The Cambs CacheAthon is a series of 166 caches set across the countryside of South Cambridgeshire, there are a number of links (15 caches) enabling cachers to break up the series into more manageable chunks, taken as a circular without the links the distance is approximately 29 miles.

The walk will take you mainly along footpaths some rural others alongside roads, there are a couple of short road sections without a footpath please take care, the caches along the cycleway by the A603 and most along the other road sections are not suitable for cache and dashes.

On setting the series after some very wet weather Jan/Feb 2014 some sections were muddy and waterlogged, wellies definitely advised in similar conditions on the countryside footpaths.

There are some gaps where existing caches are located and the Country Park at Coton.

For Church Micro fans there are 12 on route plus plenty of other caches, and a number of opportunities for refreshments. Parking can be found in the villages you pass through, i have started the route from the village of Eltisley.

There is one potential cow field on the route towards #26, carefull map planning and it can be avoided with a short backtrack , one short field did contain horses.

All caches are hidden to be found so you can enjoy your walk, if you find a wet/damp log or one missing and carry spares i am happy for it to be replaced and will check on my next visit.
