Geocache Description:

An easy grab and there is a small pull-off (providing there hasn't been a crazy amount of snow!), just be careful during high-traffic season.

One of the Caches in the Boothbay Region Corridor series. These caches will lead you down the peninsula through Edgecomb, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Southport. Bordered by the Sheepscot and Damariscotta rivers, and the Atlantic Ocean, this is one of the most beautiful areas in the Midcoast of Maine, offering a multitude of nature walks and vistas, entertainments, and dining. A wonderful place to visit, but also a great place to live!

“Welcome To Boothbay” is a typical cache introducing the town of Boothbay. Incorporated in 1764 the Town of Boothbay has a history dating back to the Pilgrims of the 1600’s.  In fact, the town motto Pelegrinis cibum dedimus, is Latin for "We fed the Pilgrims", referring to 1622 when the fishermen of the region fed the starving Pilgrims. Boothbay residents worked the sea, fishing, ship building and farming. Today, while tourism has become a big part of life, it still feels like a small, warm community with lobstermen, ship building and many artists.

Congratulations to Maplenuts for FTF!
