Un âne en plein Bruxelles ?
Parfaitement ! Il y en a même quelques uns !
Ceux-ci ne sont pas malheureux... même s’ils préféreraient sans doute gambader dans la campagne...
Le site qui les abrite accueillit en 1835 la première gare européenne…
Un dernier train y prit son départ le 16 janvier 1954 à 16h00.
L’histoire ne dit pas s’il était à l’heure !
En prévision de l’exposition universelle de 1958, la gare fut bientôt remplacée par un… héliport !
Celui-ci ferma ses portes en 1966 et le terrain resta à l’abandon.
En 1987, on décida d’implanter une ferme urbaine sur ce terrain abandonné.
L’inauguration de la Ferme du Parc Maximilien remonte à 1989.

Absoluut ! Er zijn zelfs een paar !
Ze zijn niet ongelukkig... hoewel ze waarschijnlijk liever stoeien op het platteland...
De site die hen huisvest verwelkomde in 1835 het eerste Europese station…
Een laatste trein haalde zijn vertrek op 16 januari 1954 om 16:00.
Het verhaal zegt niet of het op tijd was !
In afwachting van de wereldtentoonstelling van 1958, werd het station al snel vervangen door een… helihaven !
Het sloot zijn deuren in 1966 en bleef een verlaten land.
In 1987 heeft men besloten een stedelijke boerderij op het land te vestigen.
De Boerderij van het Maximiliaanpark werd in 1989 ingehuldigd.
