The strings of letters below may look like random jumbles, but there's actually some method to this madness. Each string contains the names of a pair of famous fictional friends, the letters of which have been woven together, but the left-to-right order of the letters has not been disturbed. To add to the fun, one extra letter has been added to each string. For instance, the letter sequence JEHCEKCKLLEDE = HECKLE, JECKLE, and D. The extra letter represents the coordinate digit, in this case a 4.

While most TeamDelphiRune puzzles are collaborative efforts, this one got more help than usual. Oakdragon suggested the coordinate encoding method and a few of the friends. N and a random couple at the next table at Mimi's Cafe suggested additional friends. And while reviewing, Roger Wolff made a suggestion that adds a nice little element of surprise. Thanks to all of them!
