This event is the second planning day and is designed to give everyone the opportunity to provide an input into Queensland's first Geocaching Mega Event!!!
The event is based in the Mt. Cootha Botanic Gardens and we will be based in the newly opened "Native Plants for Brisbane Garden-Arbour" area. This spot has 4 picnic tables and there will be plenty of shelter too. The walk to this area from the main entrance gate is about 800m.
The Mega event will be held over the Easter Long Weekend in 2015 in Stanthorpe, with the Stanthorpe Showgrounds being the base of all activities. Check out www.qldmega.com for more details.
We hope by hosting these planning days, we can get as much input as possible from the Geocaching community so that we can make this event truly spectacular. The organising committee will also be able to provide an update on the progress made to date and provide you with many more details of the Mega Event.
The event will begin at around 10:30am, and as a part of this planning event, we will have a fundraising BBQ available for all, and will have the following for sale:
- Sausage and Onion on Bread
- Cans of Coke, Lemonade, Lemon

On the day of the planning event, we will be auctioning off a 4x4 inch painting kindly donated by "RVgeos". This painting is entitled "The Stanthorpe Apple" and is a great piece with a focus on Stanthorpe.
