I note this cache has been replaced by a throwdown; that is a replacement cache by another finder when the original cannot be found and the CO has not responded to a request to carry out maintenance.

Our policy is that geocache owners are responsible for maintenance, so as soon as they are aware of throwdowns, the physical geocache should be checked and if it is still there, the throwdown geocache should be removed.

As the Geocaching guidelines do not permit "throwdowns" and the CO has not responded to my request to carry out maintenance, I am afraid I am going to have to archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is my first cache, it is a nice walk but muddy, and there are playgrounds near the cache location. Leavesden Country Cache is in Leavsden Country Park and Katherine Place is nearby as well as another side of the park. If you come at night there are lots of bats, including the common pipistrelle, if you come in daytime, there are lots of squirrels. Lots of people like to walk their dogs there too.

If you enter the park from College road on the side of the road that includes the car park. Follow on up to a play area. Your GPS should take you to a football pitch, so watch out if a match is going on. Look out for trees on a small 'hill' around the perimeter of the pitch. The cache is located in the nearby trees. This cache is not a ground level.
