If you want to find these cache you must reach a lost burg surrounded by olive trees and with a breathtaking view. Pay attention because in the summer the place is quite frequented.

Campo (Brenzone)

Campo is a lost suburb of Brenzone, where lives only a few people. The burg is maybe one of the most spectacular places of the Veneto coast of Garda Lake. Surrounded by olive trees and cypresses, gives a wonderful panorama.

In the burg it is a little fountain, located at the intersection of the trails that arrive from Brenzone, Castelletto di Brenzone and Prada, where is possible drink fresh water. It is also location of summer events and is part of a project to upgrade and restructuring.

The village is formed by a group of uninhabited stone houses. The existence of the Contrada of Campo has seen since 1023, there are in fact the remains of a castle covered by vegetation and a small church with frescoes of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries of well-preserved Byzantine influence.

The church is dedicated to St. Peter and was built between the twelfth and fourteenth century. The frescoes inside, still well preserved, are attributable to the master Giorgio Riva, executed in 1358, and these extend on the arch, the apse and the side walls. They depict various saints as well as the Virgin Mary and Christ in the apse and in particular St. Peter's. The building appears on the outside with a facade that was rebuilt during the eighteenth century, but retains the original gabled structure, characteristic of the Minor Romanesque style, that remained unchanged until after the fourteenth century. The interior has a single nave divided by a simple triumphal arch that leads to the altar and the apse.
