Geocache Description:

This challenge cache will bring you to a small county park in North Castle that you may have never been to.

This is an A-Z challenge cache!
You must find twenty-six caches,
one beginning with each letter of the alphabet
and all located in Westchester County, New York.

The difficulty rating is for the challenge, not the cache itself. We would rate the cache difficulty at 1.5.

While on vacation in December, 2013, we found the geocache Geocaching from A to Z in Volusia. This inspired us to create a similar challenge cache in our home territory of Westchester County, New York.

The Challenge

You may already qualify! There is NO date restriction on your finds! You must find twenty-six caches, all located in Westchester County, New York, one beginning with each letter of the alphabet. Now before you balk at this challenge, we've already confirmed that caches for all the letters are currently available.

After finding the twenty-six caches, create a public bookmark list (select the Public and Shared options so everyone can see it) and include the link to that list with your Found It log. Alternatively, you may list each cache, including the GC number and cache name, in your Found It log.

Here is our Westchester County A-Z bookmark list as an example.

The Rules

- There are NO date restrictions for this Challenge! If you found all twenty-six letters of the alphabet in Westchester County, New York, whether it was last week or 5 years ago, then you meet the qualifications to find and log the final (just don't forget about the bookmark or list requirement).

- All caches on your list must be located in Westchester County, New York! Watch out for caches along county lines!

- All cache types (past, present and future) are allowed for this Challenge: Traditional, Multi-cache, Unknown (Mystery), Letterbox Hybrid, Earthcache, Virtual, Webcam, Wherigo, Event, Mega Event, CITO, Locationless, Project APE, and GPS Adventures Exhibit.

- If the cache name begins with "A" it counts as your "A" cache, if it begins with "The" it counts as your "T" cache, you get the idea how this works, right?

- This Challenge is open to everyone regardless of your home state.

- Hides will not count, only finds.

- This challenge cache will NOT count for your "W" cache. No worries, there are plenty of other "W" caches to be found.

- The officially recognized FTF of this Challenge cache is the cacher who completes the challenge, has their bookmark list published (or posts their list), finds this cache and signs the log first.

Most important, have fun! And enjoy your stroll down memory lane while building that list!

If you haven't yet qualified, feel free to visit the cache, pick up or drop off trackables, and post a note for your visit. But in order to log a find you must visit the cache and sign the log AFTER you have fulfilled the challenge requirements.

NOTE: The cache is at the published coordinates!

The Location

The cache is located in North Castle, New York, at Wampus Pond, a Westchester County park. Named after the Indian from whom this land was bought in 1696, Wampus Pond means “opossum.” A recent cultural resources inventory performed by Parker Harrington indicates that early 20th century rock shelters, several Native American artifacts and remnants of hist
