It seems like there is a true lack of events between New Years and the coming of Spring, so Team Schnauzer and M4ISU would like to invite you to join us at the Crossroads Tavern in Kelley, Iowa (just south of Ames in rural Story County) on February 22 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm for food, fellowship and what we believe (knock on wood) will be a nice weather day for geocaching. Come and spend an afternoon with some of your fellow caching friends and "cache" up on what you've been up to in the winter. For those of you who are new to the game, this is a chance to meet some of the area's finest geocachers.
The good folks at the Crossroads have welcomed us in with open arms and are looking forward to hosting. They offer mostly burgers and pizza and have a wide array of beverages to pick from (even though there aren't many listed on the menu). We have posted a menu in the "photo" section to see what they have and the prices for their meals. Everyone is responsible for their own meal. You are not obligated to purchase anything to attend the event.

M4ISU and Team Schnauzer will both be placing permanent caches around the area in conjunction with this event. Depending on our own ambitions we are planning at least 20 caches, maybe a few more. We will be drawing for some sweet door prizes during the event as well.
So, please join us in Kelley on February 22!
**SEVERE WEATHER NOTE** - if we are in the middle of a severe winter storm we will most likely cancel the event. I will send out a note at 7:00 am on the morning of the 22nd if this is the case. However, I happen to know a meterologist and he told me the weather would be fine.
