Geocache Description:

Ghost is the most logical cache to start with for a direct route up to MT. ZIG. the cache is hidden within the Ghostly remains of a paintball playing fortress.

Little Jane (My 12 yr. old Daughter) and I have been going on a "Wednesday Walk" for a little over a year. In that time we have found many caches and discovered a few new spots. We've been coming back to this area in particular due to it's variety of trail selections, potential for some elevation, and the views that come with both. We hope you enjoy this area as much as we do.

While doing some exploring of my own on my Mountain Bike I decided to check on a cache that I found a while ago http://coord.info/GCP0Q9 . Unfortunately due to this cache being in a somewhat remote area with lots of trail choices = lots of wrong turns, it doesn't get the visitor count that it deserves. My goal is to change that. This cache and the three others that we placed will guide you to the top of 'MT. ZIG' and back down. The caches lay out a loop that can be done in either direction. The entire loop up and back is about 2.5 miles with a little under 300' of elevation change. All of these caches can be done on Mountain Bike as this is arguably some of the best single track this side of the bridge. If anyone is interested I have Mapsource (.gdb) files of many of the trails here and will be happy to share (message me your email address).
