Take a look at the sky!
If the wind is blowing from west, northwest or north you might see some airplanes coming in for landing at Stockholm-Bromma Airport runway 30.
In order to land with as low speed as possible relative to the ground and thereby get as short landing distance as possible they always want to land with a headwind. The stronger the headwind the slower the groundspeed (the aircrafts movement relative to the ground) for a fixed airspeed (the aircrafts speed relative to the wind).
The aircraft you see has just started their final descent with the ILS for runway 30 at Stockholm-Bromma Airport. An ILS (Instrument Landing System) is a system used to help the pilot(s) navigate down to the runway without any need to look out the window until very close to the ground. In the photo gallery you will find a picture of the instrument used in some aircraft to navigate down to the runway.
