This cache is not on the main trail, but it is close to an older trail that runs through the woods. Some bushwacking will be required, but the woods are not very thick and the terrain is flat. Notice as you approach the cache that there is evidence that this area was once used to dispose of garbage.
When we first moved to Saint John, we heard there were trails around the reservoir. A couple of times we went for a walk and were dismayed to find a pretty lake surrounded by debris - junked cars, building waste, household garbage. It was not a nice place.
What a delight it was to discover a community association was working to develop this park, and to watch it take shape over the past few years.
This cache was placed to draw visitors a little off the trail, and to see that the woods along the lake are quite nice.
The cache is about 4 feet above the ground, but it is not hanging. It is a large plastic container.
