An old steam engine once used at Mitchell's saw mill, now closed
Directly opposite the harbour and in the grounds of the Civic Centre is an old steam engine. This is all that remains of Mitchell Brothers Saw Mill. When the mill closed a former employee persuaded council to retain the old engine and the local Rotary club preserved it and dedicated it to the former employees of the mill.
