Geocache Description:

WELCOME TO THE S*W*A*G GEO-ART!!!

to S*W*A*G

119 caches make up this geo-art in honor of the South West Arizona Geocachers (S*W*A*G) geocaching group!

Every February, we host an annual Mega Event in Yuma, Arizona.

Information regarding this year’s Mega Event can be found here.

All of these caches are located on the Barry Goldwater Test Range in the middle of the Sonoran Desert. The nearest services can be found at Wellton, Arizona.

A Barry Goldwater Range permit is required. A 4WD vehicle with high clearance is the minimum type of vehicle needed to access the area. Hiking will be required as off-road travel is prohibited. Bring plenty of water as this is the low desert. Avoid this area in the summer time.

Always have at least one gallon of water with you. Like any other outdoor adventure, make sure at least one person knows your location and complete itinerary. Cell service is unreliable in this area.

Many potentially dangerous animals call this area their home. Please be respectful of the local ecology. This is their home. We’re just guests.

Remember to leave no trace and to practice Cache In, Trash Out!
