Our victory at the Battle of New York has not meant the end of the threat to mankind. The Chitauri continue their efforts to annihilate us through various means.
Situation:
A secret Chitauri installation has been discovered right here in Ottawa! They have hidden the facility in plain sight by taking it slightly out of phase with our reality while they continue their research. It may contain a Tesseract for a power source! We need to deprive them of this power.
Mission:
This is a reconnaissance only. We have determined the entrance code. You will infiltrate the Chitauri base, map the interior for the assault teams, and confirm if the base has a Tesseract.
Execution:
Use this Displacer Device ( S.H.I.E.L.D. ), which will allow your Smartphone to see out of phase for a short distance. You will also be able to interact somewhat with the out of phase environment, but be careful not to alarm the Chitauri. They will not be able to see you, but they can see items from their own phased reality! Be discrete…. If they detect you they can match phase with you and engage you with overwhelming force.
Administration and Logistics:
There’s not enough manpower available at this time to give more than basic support. Make sure your team is up to the task. You have no back-up.
Communications and Signals:
Once you enter the Chitauri base you are on your own.
