Geocache Description:

"Bottom Of The Hill" is at the bottom of Bowning Hill, in a small unused parking area, that was the old Hume Highway, the old road is still there but the local farmer uses it instead of the public.

Bowning Hill is a large lump that can be seen for many miles around, years ago you could walk up to the top for a look, and it was a great view to, but a hard walk, it was a walk that a good mate and myself would do to test very small radio transmiters, I think the best we done was 86klms with a 30mw cb radio, (he will correct me if im wrong) a big deal for us back then in the 1970s as there was no budget priced gear around, not like now.

Due to people doing the wrong thing eg. leaving rubbish and not asking permission to go up, the owners have stopped everyone looking, But there could be hope and if so you will see "Top Of The Hill".

There is a fire tower and a few commercial transmitters up there now, mobile phone towers, anyway enjoy the stop.
