Saimme innostuksen tähän kätköön olemassaolevasta kätköstä (GC2HK4W), jonka haastetta lähdimme suorittamaan kesälomamatkallamme. No, kuinkas ollakaan innostuimme hieman ja ylitimme ko. haasteen kriteerit parilla maalla ja muutamalla kätköllä. Näin ollen päätimme tehdä tästä oman ensimmäisen haastekätkömme. Haastekätkön tekeminen osoittautui itsessään pienoiseksi haasteeksi, sillä Suomessa ehdot täyttäneitä ei ollutkaan riittävästi. Näinollen lievensimme alkuperäistä haastetta lisäämällä siihen vaihtoehtoiseksi suoritustavaksi 10-10-10 putken.
Haasteen ehdot: logataksesi tämän kätkön löydetyksi, sinun tulee täyttää jompikumpi seuraavista ehdoista:
- A) olla etsinyt ja logannut vähintään viisi eri kätköä, jokainen eri valtion alueelta, saman vuorokauden aikana.
- B) olla etsinyt ja logannut vähintään kymmenen eri kätköä, jokainen eri valtion alueelta, peräkkäisten enimmillään 10 vuorokauden aikana.
Kuten sisarkätkössä, vuorokausi lasketaan 00:00-23:59, ja se alkaa aikavyöhykkeeltä, jolta teet ensimmäisen löydön tähän haasteeseen. Voit siis hakea haasteeseen kelpuutettavat löydöt eri aikavyöhykkeiltä, mutta vuorokausi loppuu silloin, kun vuorokausi vaihtuu ensimmäisen löytösi aikavyöhykkeellä.
Logatessasi kätkön löydetyksi, luettele logissasi kumman haasteen ehdon täytit, sekä haasteen ehdot täyttävät loggaukset (ts. päivämäärä, kätköt ja valtiot, joista hait kätköt). Laita myös linkit loggauksiisi.
Jos kätköloggauksesi ei täytä ym. kriteerejä, joudumme valitettavasti poistamaan loggauksesi, sillä kyseessä on haastekätkö. Voit toki vierailla kätköllä koska haluat, mutta voidaksesi logata sen löydetyksi, sinun tulee täyttää ym. kriteerit, ja pystyä todistamaan ne em. tavalla.
While completing the challenge cache (GC2HK4W) on our summer holiday we got overexcited and visited couple of more countries than necessary for that cache. Inspired by our achievement, we decided to create our own challenge cache. However, getting an approval for the challenge cache proved to be a challeng itself, due to low number of cachers meeting the criteria at the time of publishing. Therefore, we added an alternative method for completing the criteria for this challenge.
Challenge criteria: to be able to log this cache as found, you must meet either one of the following two criteria:
- A) You have logged as found at least five caches, each from a different country, during one day.
- B) You have logged as found at least ten caches, each from a different country, during ten (or fewer) consecutive days.
As in the other cache, a day is between 00:00 and 23:59, and it begins on the timezone where you log your first found cache for this challenge. You may log search and log the caches from different timezones, but the day will end when the day changes on the timezone where you first logged cache found for this challenge.
When logging this cache as 'found', remember to tell which criteria did you meet and attach the logs that prove you fulfill the criteria (i.e. date, caches, and countries, where you found the caches during the same day). Also remember to include the links to your logs.
If the "log found" does not fulfill the above criteria, we will unfortunately have to remove your logging, as this is a challenge cache. You are allowed to visit the cache anytime, but to be able to log it as 'found', you need to have completed the criteria and be able to prove it.
Haastekätkön sijainti: Haastekätkö sijaitsee saaressa, jossa ei ole asutusta. Miksi? Jotta sekä haaste että itse purkki olisivat D5/T5. Rantautuminen ja liikkuminen saaressa on helppoa, mutta itse saarelle pääsy on astetta haastavampaa, kulkuyhteyden puutteen vuoksi. Helpointa loggaus on suorittaa kätköllä käyneiden tavoin, talvella, silloin kun jäät kestävät (lisätietoja esim. http://ilmatieteenlaitos.fi/jaatilanne). Lähestyminen itse kätkölle (saaressa) on helpointa pohjoissuunnasta. Kauempaa tulevat voivat jättää auton joko idästä lähestyttäessä parkkin esimerkiksi Lauttasaaressa waypointin sijaintiin, josta pääsee mukavasti Poliisien kesäkodin pihan kautta suoraan rantaan, tai Espoon puolelta lännestä lähestyttäessä, läntisen waypointin paikkaan, josta löytyy suoraan rannasta 24h kiekkopaikkoja.
The location of the challenge cache: The cache is in an island, where nobody lives. Why? So that both the challenge and the cache would be D5/T5. Therefore arriving to and moving in the island is pretty unrestricted, but getting to the island is slightly complicated, due to lack of common transportation options. Probably the easiest way to log the cache is to do as most visitors - use the frozen sea on winter (more information e.g. http://en.ilmatieteenlaitos.fi/ice-conditions). Approaching the cache in the island is easiest from North. Cachers arriving from further away: car can be parked e.g. either to Lauttasaari (eastern waypoint) from which there is rather simple access to the seafront through Police summerhome area, or to western waypoint (Espoo side) where there are 24h parking places directly next to the sea.
