Welcome to Buttler Park. This cache is located in what is considered Upper Butler Park. There are some beautiful tall trees that provide shade on some of those scrotching hot Iowa Days we have. There are benches to sit on and picnic tables to provide an area you could have lunch. The High School is located just the west of the park. This park tends to be busy so stealth cache hunting skills may be required.
In 1840 Isaac Buttler aka Col Buttler settled near the villiage site. The first post office was established in the township by Col. Butler. It was the third post office in Linn County. Mail was received weekly on horseback.
The dynamic mother/daughter geocaching team AnniePTigger and Magneato (formerly known as SkeeterNSpeedy) are back in the game. After a 3 to 4 years in hibernation we’ve dust ourselves off and located the plastic tub of geocaching treasures, hides, secrets and we are hitting the town of Springville. Come visit Springvile Iowa our home town and enjoy the sites, parks, shops, restuarants, and charm. Our goal is to place enough caches for you to spend the day in our little town. We have asked and gotten the permission from City Hall to business owners, and even the school….making Springville a cache friendly town. We hope you enjoy your adventure while you’re here.
