From this location, you are about halfway up to the summit of this hill, sometimes known as the Mont Sombre (Sombre being a small hamlet nearby). Looking across, the following places can be seen: Wissant, Sombre, Tardinghen, Audinghen, Cap Gris Nez, Wimereux- Wimille and Marquise. If you can see Boulogne, you must be wearing binoculars! Hervelinghen was first founded by the English. From here, you can easily see the White Cliffs of Dover on a clear day. Watch out for tractors, combine harvesters and mountain bikers. If you enjoy looking at animals, you can see deer and rabbits and many kinds of farm animals such as goats, cows, bulls and sheep. If you have a dog, it is reccomended that you leave him or her on a lead; hunting takes place a lot around this area. I think that is it.... Let's get geocaching!
