Geocache Description:

Our 1st attempt at hiding a Geocache in the town of Waxhaw. Something close to a cache & dash, but I'll let you all be the judge of that. Good luck & happy hunting!

NOTE: The RR tracks & a fairly steep embankment to them are nearby on the other side of the sidewalk. There is absolutely no need to cross the sidewalk & get too close to this embankment in order to find the cache. I don't want any children accidentally sliding down this embankment or getting too close to the tracks.

A micro cache honoring in no particular order: the Waxhaw Train Wreck of 7/8/2010, my son's 10th birthday, and also local artist and metal sculptor extraordinaire Tom Risser who incorporated scrap from the wreck into his piece honoring those who responded to the wreck. Probably not the first instance of derailment art, but definitely worth checking it out.

As mentioned earlier, this is our first cache, so if there's any constructive criticism, leave me a note.
