Za okazałym gmachem Muzeum Narodowego na Wałach Chrobrego znajduje się równie okazały i piękny skwer o symetrycznym układzie. Ze skraju Parku Żeromskiego na ów piękny plac swojego imienia z powagą spogląda Adam Mickiewicz.
Pomnik wieszcza odsłonięto 3 maja 1960 aby uczcić 1000-lecie państwa polskiego. Autorem betonowego posągu był znany szczeciński rzeźbiarz – Sławomir Lewiński. W 1993 monument został odnowiony przez jego syna Jakuba.
Przed wojną na tym samym cokole stał konny pomnik króla pruskiego i cesarza Niemiec – Fryderyka III, którego autorem był słynny Ludwig Manzel (twórca Sediny). W 1943 roku brązowy odlew zdjęto z cokołu w celu przetopienia na potrzeby militarne. Podobny los spotkał wiele innych szczecińskich pomników, w tym także prawdopodobnie pomnik Sediny.

Behind the monumental edifice of the National Museum on Wały Chrobrego there is an equally impressive symmetrical square. From the edge of the Żeromski Park, Adam Mickiewicz glances on this beautiful square of his own name.
The bard’s statue was unveiled on the 3rd May 1960 to commemorate the 1000 years of Polish State. The author of this concrete statue was a well-known local sculptor – Sławomir Lewiński. In 1993 the statue was renovated by his son Jakub.
Before the war a horse statue of Prussian king and German emperor Fryderyk III was located at the same spot. The author of that monument was the famous Ludwig Manzel (the creator of Sedina). In 1943 the bronze cast was taken down from the pedestal in order to be melted for military use. The same was done with many other Szczecin statues, most probably including the Sedina statue as well.

Von der Platz, wo steht das Denkmal von Adam Miciewicz, kann man sehen schöne, symmetrische Grünanlage. Einen Katzensprung von hier ist ein Park vom polnischen Schriftsteller, Stefan Żeromski.
Das Denkmal von Adam Mickiewicz war im Jahr 1960 dargestellt. Stettiner Bildhauer, Sławomir Lewiński, hat das Denkmal geschafft. Später, im Jahr 1993, war das Kunstwerk durch sein Sohn erfrischt.
Vor dem Zweite Weltkrieg in diesem nämlich Postament stand die Reiterstatue von Friedrich III, die war durch berühmt Künstler, Ludwik Manzel gemacht. Während der Zweite Weltkrieg wurde diese Reiseatatue zu militärisches Ziel benutzt.
