At GZ you will find yourself atop of the grand Cuumbeun Cliffs! From here you will overlook the Cummbeun Nature Reserve… And not only that – in the distance – between the peaks, you can see Black Mountain tower, and the Lake Burley Griffin fountain (when it’s running)… I found this to be a magical spot. I could have sat here for hours listening to the bird calls from far below.
Don’t bother checking the coordinates in Google Earth – it doesn’t do it justice! Take my word for it, there are cliffs here, and so you need to be careful! I have rated the terrain on the path I took, but I’m sure there could be easier ways! Make sure you plan your route and take plenty of water (I didn’t, and ended out drinking creek water – crystal clear – yummy!).
