Geocache Description:

Many know FMoraes as the author of the monthly Triangle Puzzle Series. This triangle puzzle is to celebrate his recent 2,000th find! The posted coordinates are meaningless... don't go there, you'll get hurt. To get the real coordinates you must solve the following puzzle. It is within 2 miles of the posted coords.

If you are familiar with Suduko, this will be an interesting twist using a triangular format....particularly fitting for our Raleigh area. There are four rules:

  • Outer Complete Triangle Rule: The numbers 1-9 must be placed in the three legs of the complete triangle (shaded yellow and green).
  • Large Triangle Rule: The topmost 9 small boxes form a large triangle. Altogether, there are nine of these triangles with a dark black line around them. You must place the numbers 1-9 in each of those nine large triangles.
  • Inner Triangle Rule: Across the middle of the complete triangle, you will see some light blue shaded boxes with green shaded end points. There are three of these strings, and each string must have the numbers 1-9 in them.
  • Hexagon (or touching) rule: No small triangle can touch (either at the side or at the point), another small triangle of the same number.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
