This is number 5 of a series ring that will take you on a round trip (figure of 8 to be precise) of a little over 5 miles and contains 20 caches. The terrain is overgrown with nettles so be prepared and bring gloves. Unfortunately this one jumped and escaped so have had to replace with another cache. The Hogs Back Reservoir lies just off the main track, once the main road from Guildford, that leads to the first cache in this series. The four transmission masts mark the location of the reservoir.
Apparently there are a number of Hogs Back Reservoirs including one in Australia and one in the States. However I'm sure none of them were Dr Who locations for filming the TV series in the early days.
The rest of the series have now all been placed and is complete and glad to say that a few fellow cachers did get a chance for FTF. The caches were not published in numeric order and appeared at random intervals - This was in fact the 8th cache to be placed in this series.. So keep your eyes open, enjoy the walk and most of all the views... This one unfortunately disappeared before it had a chance to be found but soon had it replaced.
