Mirabeau, petit village provençal composé autrefois de plusieurs petits hameaux possédait son église paroissiale. Aujourd'hui quelques peu abandonnée, cette église reste encore facilement accessible en 10' de marche à pied après avoir laissé son véhicule au parking (N 44°03.742 E 006°04.940).
Cette église a été construite par les moines de Cluny au cours de la moitié du XVIème siècle, sur le plateau dit "des grenouilleurs". Accolée d'un petit cimetière où furent inhumés les seigneurs de Mirabeau, cette édifice fut délaissé en 1884 lorsque le Conseil Municipal décide de transférer le titre "Paroissiale" à la nouvelle église du village. Elle porte aujourd'hui et bien malheureusement, des dédicaces bien peu respectueuses.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Mirabeau is a small provençal village ( which was several small hamlets in the past) has its own parish church. Now a little abandoned, this church is still easily accessible in 10m by foot after having left your vehicle at parking (N44°03.742 E 006°04.940). This church was constructed by the monks of Cluny during a part of the 16th century. Placed next to a small cemetery where the Lords of Mirabeau are buried, this building was abandoned in 1884 when the Municipal Council decided to transfer the title “Parish” to the new village church. Unfortunately, it is not treated with respect now. ------------------South-east of the exterior of the ruined wall.
