Toodyay Pelham reserve or the big hill with the town water tanks
A Black painted 500m cache. A torch may help to see into the darkness. We have placed this cache in Toodyay and up on the lookout hill, which is called Pelham Reserve. Follow your nose to the car park or the signs if you can find them. This is the hill where the town water is fed from so you will see a huge concrete tanks up here. There is a walkway to a lookout chair (you want to follow the path that is to the right with your back to the tanks)follow that for a short distance until you are standing on the rock lookout near the bench. From here the cache is only 20 meters away. Keep an eye out for snakes. Stomp your get as you walk and talk the ground with a stick. We did see a bobtail lizard the last time we were here.
After you have done all this then maybe have a picnic…we would suggest down near the bridge over the river in town. There are BBQ’s here and it’s a pleasant stop.
