This geocache is located at the Mile 17 rest area along I-85 North.... and is the last rest area in South Carolina. The next rest area on I-85 North is the North Carolina welcome center 91 miles away. I noticed there were no caches at this rest area (there used to be one but it was archived), so I put a cache here.
From the rest area, you'll be able to walk down to Lake Hartwell (yes, that's the same lake you passed over when you arrived into South Carolina from Georgia). When you walk down to the lake, follow the path and your GPS to the cache. It's a container about the size of a pill bottle, wrapped in camo tape. BYOP.
