A1HydeAndSeek: All good thing must come to an end. Thanks to all the addicted cachers especially those addicted enough to try and climb the leader board. There is one person in Norway that had enough points to beat me and Xeiron but he hasn't logged the cache. If anyone logs after the fact please take the container with you else I'll arrange for it to be collected later [;)]

OK, jeg er litt overinteressert i Mystery Cacher, men er jeg avhengig? Det har gått en del dager og netter til å løse noen av de litt mer vriene og man blir ofte sur, frustrert og alltid skuffet når man har brukt så mye tid og noen andre nappe en FTF rett før man har løste den selv. Her er en Challenge for de som er lik meg som kunne være meldlemmer i Mystery Cachers Anonymous.

For å kvalifisere for denne Challenge må du har logget en del Mystery Cacher. Du skal regne ut antall dager etter publisering (ikke utplassering) ganger cachens vanskelighetsgrad og deler den med hvor i logg rekke du er. Dvs. hvis du har logget en fem stjernes Mystery Cache 100 dager etter publisering som FTF så får du 5 x 100 / 1 = 500 poeng. Hvis du logge en annen 5 stjernes cache 2 år etter publisering og du er den 36. person i loggen får du 5 x 730 / 36 = 101 poeng. Cacher logget på publiseringsdag gir null poeng og prefinds gir minus poeng!!Desimal tallene kan rundes opp.

Til sammen må du ha 10000 Poeng for å imøtekomme kravene. Hvis du har over 200 mystery cacher logget så er du hekta og kan logge uten å lage liste. Men hvis du konkurerer om å være den mest hekta Geocacher så må det dokumenteres!


Andre avklaringer:
  • Denne cache telle ikke i poeng sum
  • Alle funn telles uansett dato og sted
  • Co-FTF telles som logg # 1 for alle sammen men hvis det er 2 Co-FTF så er neste logg, logg #3.
  • Hvis flere har logget på samme dag så er det fremdeles logg rekkefølgen på Geocaching.com som er gjeldende ellers kan CO ikke kontrollere poengene.
Loggen skal vise cachen men Id og navn, dato publisert, dato logget og nummer i logg rekke og dermed poengsum. Til slutt total poeng.

Ok, I am a little more than interrested in Mystery Caching but am I adicted? I have used a good number of days and nights solving some of the more complicated Mystery Caches and am often irritated, frustrated and allways bitter when someone else logs FTF before I have solved a cache. Here is a challenge for others who could be in Mystery Cachers Anonymous!!

To qualify for this challenge you will need to have logged a few Mystery Caches. You need to calculate the number of days since the cache was published (not placed) and multiply this by the caches difficulty rating and then divide it by your place in the log book. So, if you log a 5 star Mystery Cache 100 days after publishing and as FTF you will get 5 x 100 / 1 = 500 points. If you log another 5 star cache 2 years after it was published and are number 36 in the log book you get 5 x 730 / 36 = 101 points. Caches logged on the day they are published give you 0 (zero) points and prefinds give minus points! Decimal points can be rounded up.

All together you must have 10000 points to meet the requirements.If you have logged over 200 Mystery Caches then you are addicted and can log this challenge. However, if you want to compete for the most addicted Geocacher it needs to be documented!


Other clarifications:
  • This cache does NOT count towards your point sum
  • All finds count irrespective of time and place
  • Co-FTF count as log #1 for all co-finders. If there are two co-FTFs then the next log is #3.
  • If several have logged on the same day then the log number is that on geocaching.com otherwise CO won't be able to control the points.
Your log should show the caches by id and name, date published, position in the logbook and therefore points. Finally the total number of points.
