Geocache Description:

When: Sunday September 8
Where: Fehlberg Park Corner Fairfield & Hyde Roads Yeronga
Time: Play Commences 9am

Well it was about time hosted another event last one was Christmas 2011. So in keeping with the sporting theme we have decided to launch “GM62’s Disc Golf Challenge 2013” (Frisbee to some) Disc Golf is a worldwide sport played by people of all ages. Our friends from Brisbane Disc Golf Club have very kindly offered to show us how the game is played.

Brisbane Disc Golf plays Saturday Mornings 9am or Sundays at 2pm. You are most welcome to attend at either of these times prior to the event, and the friendly club members will give you a hands on demo.

There is a Cafe is less than 500m from GZ and is open from 6am. So grab a coffee and Breakfast/Brunch . This will be our "Wet Weather" meeting place should there be a "raincheck" for the Disc Golf.

As always us cachers cannot help ourselves but to celebrate such an event, so bring along your best plate of baked goodies savoury or sweet, and what would be an event without a sausage sizzle. The GM team will be cooking up a storm.

There will be prizes for Disc Golf teams, but as with most geckomaster caches there is a twist.  Winners may not be grinners? All will be revealed on the day. File through your records, and submit your best caching story. Submit via the Gold Cache Awards on Facebook or bring along hard copy on the day. All entries will be judged by a panel and judge’s decision in final.

As all of you are aware, a small but dedicated team are working away at putting together   Queensland’s first Mega Event. Those of you, who have held events before, are well aware of the time and effort put into getting them off the ground. So I would ask for your support. Let’s show Australia and the rest of the world how it is done, and celebrate on the Easter weekend 2015!!!!  Queenslander!!!
