This should be a fairly simple cache for most to find and even easier during certain times of the year. Parking is available off of the main road going into town. There is enough room to pull off to the SE of ground zero. A short walk over even terrain will get you to the cache site.
Adams County was desperately in need of another geocache. Corning is a fairly nice small town and we felt that other caches would appreciate having another hide to look for out here. This cache is located a little ways north of the junction of US 34 and IA 148 in Corning, the home of the Red Raiders and also the home of Tonight Show host Johnny Carson. We hope that this cache will give people another reason to get out and stretch while driving around in this part of the state. **As of 2013, the Corning and Villisca school districts have merged together to form the Southwest Valley Timberwolves. This cache name has been changed from "Red Raider Country" to "Timberwolf Country" on 6/15/2013 by the cache owner."
