Congratulations to grschmid for the FTF! This is another great spot my brother and I took advantage of. The Powerlines Quad Trails offers beautiful views and a great network of hiking trails in a very backwooded area. Feel free to walk around more and ejoy this area! Most trails loop around and provide a great backcountry hiking experience not really expected of this suburban area. Biking, quadding or hiking, we hope you enjoy this location as much as we have!
The cache is located right off a trail, so no bushwacking is required for this cache. Keep in mind this is an active quadding location. I have not had any issue with the riders, they mean well, but they do come around corners fast so do stay alert! This may be common sense, but please do not attempt to climb the powerline structures. It sure looks fun but I feel like that may not end very well. Ticks are pretty active here so be sure to check after! Dont litter and enjoy this beautiful, little known natural treasure of Mahopac.
