The Return of the Crazy Cacher
The Crazy Cacher is back and again he has invested considerable thought and skills into the design of a new and improved cache coordinate storage device.
Since a long time he is a dedicated labyrinth player. Here you can watch him enjoying his favorite pastime:
One day he used two balls in the labyrinth and this inspired him to create a new device: The Tilting Double Ball Cache Coordinate Storing Device! It works like this:
There are two balls, one for the longitude and one for the latitude. The longitude ball is marked “E” and the latitude ball is marked “N”.
Each ball has a starting position as shown below. The balls are moved by tilting the maze up, down, left or right. If the maze tilts up, the ball moves straight up. If the tilt is down, the ball moves straight down. Same applies for left and right tilts. Important: It is not allowed to tilt the maze in any other direction. Example tilting left AND up at the same time is NOT allowed! The ball must always move either up, down, left or right. The balls stop when they hit a labyrinth wall.
The coordinates are retrieved by following a tilt pattern. The balls will move and roll over numbers. The “N” ball rolls over the numbers A B C D, the “E” ball rolls over E F G H. The coordinate result will be as follows:
