La Roche Traversier, nom que l'on peut lire sur les cartes IGN 1/25000, est une longue arête qui s'étend du refuge de Charpenet (au dessus des falaises de Rochepleine) jusqu'au sommet de la Montagne du Sac à 1300m d'altitude.
Cette cache est positionnée au milieu de cette longue arête, à environ 1050m d'altitude. Pour y arriver, il faut trouver le sentier qui y mène au départ de la grange de Brulin (A1), celle qui surplombe le grand pré au dessus du refuge de Charpenet. Le chemin est assez bien tracé et d'une difficulté croissante, les 100 derniers mètres sont très raides, à éviter par temps humide. Une autre possibilité existe mais qui est à réserver aux initiés de la montagne et des itinéraires sauvages : suivre toute la crête depuis le refuge sur un parcours très rocailleux et donc assez technique.
Lorsque vous trouverez la croix rouge gravée dans la pierre (voir photo "Vous y êtes presque !" ci-jointe), vous êtes arrivés. A votre gauche, Mont Saint Martin, à votre droite, Proveysieux et une vue insolite sur le Néron.

Scialet insolite, la même surprise vous attend ici ! A 50m à droite de la croix rouge.

Looking for an unusual view of "Neron" ? This is it !
The "Roche Traversier", the name that can be read on IGN 1/25000 maps, is a long ridge that extends from the refuge of "Charpenet" (above the cliffs of "Rochepleine") to the summit of "Montagne du Sac" at 1300m altitude.
This cache is located in the middle of this long edge, about 1050m. To achieve this, you must find the path that leads to it from the barn "Brulin" (A1), which overlooks the large meadow above the refuge of "Charpenet". The path is fairly well marked and of an increasing difficulty, the last 100 meters are very steep, to be avoid by wet weather. Another possibility exists, but that is reserved for mountain and wild routes insiders: follow all the ridge from the refuge of "Charpenet" on a very rocky path and therefore quite technical.
When you find the red cross in stone (see attached picture "Vous y êtes presque !"), you have arrived. To your left, Mont Saint Martin, right, Proveysieux and an unusual view of "Neron".
