Hulevesistä
Tämä kätkö on piilotettu suunnitteilla olevan Kuninkaantammen asuinalueen hulevesiprojektin erään lasku-uoman läheisyyteen. Hulevesiprojektin tarkoituksena on mahdollistaa sade- ja sulamisvesien osittainen maaperään imeyttäminen ja alueelle viivyttäminen ennen niiden johtamista jokiin. Kuninkaantammen alueen sade- ja sulamisvedet päätyvät pääosin Mätäjokeen.
Luonnollisten uomien ja imeytyspaikkojen lisäksi tarkoituksena on tehostaa myös rakennetun alueen vedensuodatus- ja imemiskykyä. Tällaisia ratkaisuja ovat esimerkiksi sadepuutarhat, kivipurot sekä kasvillisuuspainanteet.

Kätköstä
Kätköön mahtuu matkalaisia tiettyyn rajaan asti, mutta sen tarkka koko selviää vasta kätköpaikalla. Purkissa on kynä ja teroitin. Kätkö sijaitsee melko lähellä taloja mutta lähitalojen asukkaan (mm. vanhempani, joiden iloksi kätkön osittain tein) tietävät kätköstä joten niistä ei kannata ottaa turhaa stressiä.

The surface runoff water project
This cache is hidden quite close to the small stream that is part of the new project about the handling of surface runoff water from the new living area called Kuninkaantammi (King's Oak). The goal of this project is to test how well we can saturate rain- and meltingwater to the ground or slow the movement of the water from the river basin to the stream. From the Kuninkaantammi area the runoff water is running to the River Mätäjoki (Rotten river).
In this project one goal is also to test different solutions on the built up areas to slow the runoff and intensify the saturation. E.g. Raingardens, stonebrooks and vegetation depressions are tested solutions for this.
The Cache
Small travelsbugs and geocoins can be storet to this cache, but you can find out the specific volume of the containen only by finding it. There is a pencil and pencil-harpener in the container. There is some houses quite close to the cache but the people (icluding my parents) know about the cache so don't worry about the houses or the people living in them.
It's also allowed to write the feelings of the day to the log book. Happy hunting! (:
