Rasar State Park is a 169-acre camping & day use park with trails, playground, barbecue shelter, picnic area & restrooms. Situated a couple of miles away from Highway 20 in a peaceful location, the park has 4,000 feet of freshwater shoreline along the north shore of the Skagit River. It is located approximately 19 miles east of Burlington, between the towns of Hamilton and Concrete in Skagit County.
Wildlife observation opportunities, especially for Elk and Eagle watching, are excellent, particularly in early fall and mid winter. The sandy shoreline is great for fishing - especially during Salmon season!
The campground, with it's wide variety of campsites; primitive walk-ins, tent, RV/utility, adirondack shelters, cabins & group sites, would make a wonderful central base for sightseeing and geocaching up & down the North Cascades Highway. It has a nice day use area and the interpretive signs & trails in the grassy field and along the river are great for wildlife viewing.

"Autumn Tales at Rasar" is a nice article with a taste of what to expect during the fall season.
