You are best to approach this cache from the road, through the kissing gate into the field. It is outside the wild garden. It can be done with a buggy, but not really suitable for a wheelchair. The Church is named after St. John the Baptist and I thought it appropriate that you will have to baptise the cache to recover it.
To do this cache you will need to bring an empty bottle or container. One litre or a couple of pints should be enough. You can fill it from the spring in the wild garden, or if you are worried about hygiene, there is a tap on the vestry wall. I would not attempt to fill it from the well itself. For obvious reasons please make sure the lid is on properly before you replace the cache. One final thing, please be careful of the flowers, they have been placed for all to enjoy.
If you do this cache in the week after 24th June you will see the well dressed in flowers for the village patronal festival. This has been going on since 1984, when every year, villagers decorate the well before the bishop comes to bless it.
