All along this stretch of coast you can catch wonderful sunsets at the right time. Situated near to the Panaretti Hotel you will find a shrine. Originally placed as a memorial to someone's loved one, it has become a place many people leave mementos and messages to the people they have lost. Obviously the cache is not on the shrine itself. Please treat it with the reverence it deserves.
Please read this sad note our cache guardian had to leave on 10/2/14 "We went along today to visit this cache (as guardian for JandJD01) having been told about an entry on a local blog. It was heart breaking....the powers that be in their infinite wisdom having decided to paint the pergola, have removed all the memorial stones and plaques which have built up there over the years. A few of them were lying near the edge of the cliff, others have ended up over the edge down towards the sea, and the rest have been heaped up unceremoniously into a pile (very near the cache site itself) many broken or chipped. After a search I managed to find our Dad's stone and will keep it until we see what happens at the site. Those visiting this place in the future may want to look at the photographs to see why it attracted the favourite points." Goodness knows why they couldn't have had a bit more respect. The cache is a small clip clock box covered in black gaffer tape containing at the time of placing, a log, pencil, bracelet, funky rubber bands, mini spinning top and a magnet. Although I do not live in Cyprus, my sister, who does, is going to maintain the cache for me. ***CONGRATULATIONS TO PSEACRAFT ON FTF!!!***
