Geocache Description:

We have always enjoyed searching for the caches so many others have taken the time to place in the Addicks Reservoir area. Our favorites have always been the ones that challenged us, requiring some map reviewing to plot the best route in and out of the winding creeks, all the while keeping our feet dry.  ** You will have to bring your own pen to sign the log **

This cache is placed in an area where South Mayde Creek and Bear Creek come together before heading down stream to the spillway.  The creeks are twisting and winding and seem to flow in all directions if you stop to look at them. The wildlife signs are everywhere from deer, hogs, and the other usual suspects.  The list of usual suspects include, but is not limited to, spiders, salamanders and all kinds of snakes. To place this cache we made a single  "wet foot/dry foot" crossing. We could have chosen a longer path in and made no crossings but chose the shorter path in and out. After making it to ground zero the cache should be fairly easy to spot.   There is a $5 bill in the container for the FTF.  ** You will have to bring your own pen to sign the log **
