The cache is located just outside the village of Newton. Newton is an old mining village that was developed with the Newton Colliery and latterly the Monktonhall Colliery, which closed down in 1998.
From the cache location there are good views north over the Firth of Forth to the Lomond and Ochil hills, along the Forth to the bridges, and south-east to Arthurs seat and the Pentlands.
It is a popular place for muggles especially during the summer months so please use STEALTH at all times.
NOTE: There is no pencil in the cache, so please bring your own.
