My family were farmers in this town, which is little more than a crossroad, for many years until my grandmother was stricken with Polio in 1951 and they moved to Houston. My grandfather went to school in this old building and his mother's house is just across the street. A few people still live in the area but, for the most part, only memories remain. If you happen to be in the area, I hope you enjoy the side trip!
