Geocache Description:

St Mary Magdalene Church, Twyning

It is a Grade II* Listed Anglican church. It was built in the 12th Century, although parts were extensively restored in the 15th Century and the chancel rebuilt in 1867-8 by John Middleton. The organ inside was built in 1886, and is still maintained by the company founded by the man who built it.

There's plenty to be found on the church on the web if you want to read up on it.

Cache is a micro. I'd like to have hidden it a little closer to the church, but was thwarted by proximity issues and being too close to houses, so I have opted to place it just as you start to enter the village. The church is a couple of hundren metres further into the village, and being by far the largest building, is quite easy to spot. **************************************

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
