LACEY-KEOSAUQUA STATE PARK
(1,653 acres)
Lacey-Keosauqua is rich in history. Native American burial mounds overlook the Des Moines River. Mormons trekking west crossed the river at Ely Ford. Today, visitors enjoy the park’s beauty as they reconnect with family and friends through outdoor fun.
If visiting the second weekend of October, enjoy the Scenic Drive Festival at Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. The festival features forestry, wildlife and parks management information booths and a buckskinners camp. Nearby Keosauqua has a parade, carnival and related events.
