L'église Saint Pierre-Saint Paul de Le Portel:

Le Portel était jadis un hameau d'Outreau. Ses habitants voulant obtenir le statut de paroisse construisirent de leurs mains un église en pierres de mer. Cette église fut bénie en 1836. Le Portel devint une commune en 1856. Le Portel fut détruit à 95% par les bombardements des 4, 8, 9 septembre 1943 et l'église par ceux du 5 juin 1944. Aujourd'hui, une église moderne s'élève à la même place que l'ancienne.

Le Portel was formerly a hamlet of Outreau. Its inhabitants want to obtain the status of parish and built of the hands a church in sea stones. This church was blessed in 1836 and Le Portel became a municipality in 1856. Le Portel was destroyed in 95% by bombardments on september the 4, 8, 9th of 1943 and the church by those of  june the 5th of 1944. Today, a modern church amounts to the same place as the old.
