Geocache Description:

The Abbey of Coat Malouen is a cistercian abbey set in the commune of Kerpert. Its history dates back to the 25th Juin 1142. All that remains today is the facade with 21 windows and the old walls of the chapel.

L’abbaye Notre-Dame de Koad Malouen ("coatmaloen") est abbayz cistercienne située sur la commune de Kerpert. Son histoire commence le 25 Juin 1142. Il ne reste aujourd'hui qu'une abbatiale du XV111 siècle sans toit, et une majestueuse façade surmontée d'un fronton de forme triangulaire. Le monastère Notre-Dame de Koad Maloen est implanté aux limites de la Cornouaille et du Trégor à une vingtaine de kilomètres de Guingamp.
